Is Loves and Leashes local?
Yes! Both Aimée and Ryan live right here in Verrado with you. So we’ll always be a quick drive away -- all the better to get in those early morning feedings and dog walks!
What areas do you serve?
Only Verrado and Victory.
Do you also take care of cats?
Cats will never be considered an afterthought with Loves and Leashes! As a cat owner myself, I fully believe and recognize that cats can be just as smart and emotionally intelligent as dogs and need the same amounts of love and care. You'll never hear me say "it's just a cat"!
Who will have access to my home?
Rest assured, Loves and Leashes will never bring outside guests to your home. No friends, no family or children. Myself or Ryan (as a backup) will be the only ones with access to your home. You will have the opportunity to meet us both at the Meet & Greet to ensure you feel comfortable with us.
Which team member will I get?
Aimée is the primary pet sitter for all cat and dog drop-in visits. Ryan assists less often -- specifically with dog walking service or as a back-up to fill in for Aimée if necessary. On rare occassions we may both work a particular job if there are challenges that warrant two of us being present.
Will I get updates on my pets while I am away?
I believe in good communication. Loves and Leashes will always send you timely updates, including photos and video, because I know how much you miss your fur loves.
Will my pet get timely service?
I prioritize your pets. I don’t overbook. I want to provide a great experience and when you schedule with me, your pet is always my first priority. I pride myself on being timely and punctual, and if something unexpected keeps me from being on time, I will let you know.
I'm not sure what kind of service my pet needs?
If you need help deciding what the best service for your pet is, feel free to reach out and ask and I would be happy to make recommendations. If you don't see exactly what you're looking for, let me know and I can work with you to customize a service.

What is the earliest/latest time I can schedule a drop-in visit?
You may schedule a drop-in visit for as early as 6:30 AM or as late as 6:30 PM.

Do you do overnight sleepovers?
Loves and Leashes no longer offers this service.
My pet is low maintenance, can I schedule a 15 minute visit for less money?
While I recognize that every pet has unique needs, I firmly believe that a minimum of 30 minutes is essential to deliver the level of care that meets my professional standards. This standard is based on my experience and commitment to quality. For a more detailed explanation, please watch the video here.
How far in advance should I schedule?
For new clients, I recommend you put your request in at least two weeks in advance in order to get on my calendar. This allows sufficient time for me to coordinate and schedule the preliminary Meet & Greet with you and to process required paperwork. For existing clients, I recommend booking at least one week in advance.
How far out can I schedule?
I can accept bookings up to 3 months in advance. I am happy to put your dates on my calendar as "tentative" for any bookings beyond 3 months, but please understand that I have other priorities that prevent me from being able to commit beyond a 3-month time frame.
What is your cancellation policy?
I kindly ask clients to give a minimum of 12 hours notice for any cancellations in service.
Can I leave my pet with you in your home?
Unfortunately, I do not take pets into my own home. I sit for your pets in the comfort of their own homes.
How long has Loves and Leashes been in business?
Loves and Leashes officially opened for business on June 1, 2023.

How much extra does it cost if I have multiple pets?
All of the rates you see on the website are based on three pets or less. For any amount over three, I charge a fee of $5 per pet.

Do you accept all types of dogs?
While I love pups of all personalities, I'm best suited for dogs with calm, manageable temperaments. I am not able to accommodate dogs that are aggressive or extremely high-energy (such as frequent jumpers, rough play, or difficulty with basic handling).
Are you licensed, bonded and insured?
Yes! Loves and Leashes is licensed with the city of Buckeye as well as bonded and insured through Small Business Insurers of the Carolinas. I would be happy to provide proof of coverage upon inquiry.
How does key exchange work?
If you're providing a traditional key, I strongly encourage the use of a lockbox to provide a safe and secure location for key return after the last visit. Alternatively, if you anticipate using our services again in the future, I offer the option to securely retain your key for ongoing convenience.
What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept cash, personal check or Zelle. At this time, I do not accept Venmo.

How does payment work?
On your final day of service, I will email you an invoice in which you'll have 3 days to submit payment to me via Zelle. For any services totaling $500 or more, I do ask for 1/2 of the payment up front.
If paying by cash or check, I ask that you please leave payment in your home at the start of service.
